Cello, the wisest string of them all!

Cello is another instrument that is broad and common at Southampton Arts Academy, with tailored experiences with specific tutors and teachers to help familiarise your experience with learning the Cello, whether that’s for the first time or another attempt. Cello lessons, just like all our others can be tailored to your busy schedule with different times and varied lengths for a better accessibility. Whether the final goal is an exam, a performance in public or even just as a hobby, our Cello lessons offer the best experiences in Southampton.

We offer a free taster lesson to all new students and the the opportunity to come in to practice with our facilities during the week for all students.

Cellos are a must have in any orchestra. Using only 4 strings and a bow, a Cello can create beautiful music, from the famous Tchaikovsky Cello Concerto, to the chilling Mussorgsky’s Night on the Bare Mountain.

We offer Cello lessons to anyone who wishes to learn this fantastic instrument. We can offer second hand Cellos that have had our stamp of approval suited for your ability. We have a range of teaching resources to suit your level and age, to help improve your music theory work and fine tuning of each note.

Cello is one of our favourite instruments at Southampton Arts Academy. Our dedicated Cello tutor has taught hundreds of students and has experience in teaching a variety of styles. We offer courses and expertise for beginners, intermediates and Celloist who have been playing for years.

Whether you want to take exams, prepare for a performance or recording or simply enjoy playing we can tailor our courses to help you achieve your aims. We can offer Cello lessons that suits to your busy schedule, from Mondays to Saturdays, 9am to 9 pm. We offer fun and exciting lessons for 1 hour at a time.

We offer a free taster lesson to all new students and the opportunity to come in to practice with our facilities during the week for all students. So, if you need to use one of our studio spaces in preparations for an exam, or if you need a quiet space to practice, you can use the facilities at the academy.

Subjects are taught in 12 week terms. For Private Lessons, the dates are chosen by the pupil after registration. The Music Groups (2-6 pupils) have a regular weekly schedule, with the exception of public holidays. You can REGISTER online, book a FREE LESSON or CONTACT US for more information.
